These terms govern your use of Janani, including the app, website, and all related services. We have written them in plain language. If anything is unclear, write to us.

1. Who we are

Janani is a product built and operated by the Janani team. References to "Janani", "we", "us", or "our" mean the team behind Janani.

2. Accepting these terms

By creating an account or using our services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Janani.

3. Not a substitute for medical advice

Janani provides information, guidance, and community. It is not a medical device and does not replace the advice of a qualified doctor, midwife, or healthcare provider. Always consult a licensed medical professional for diagnosis, treatment, or urgent health concerns. In an emergency, contact your nearest hospital or dial 112.

4. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create a Janani account. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

5. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Notify us immediately at hello@myjanani.com if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Share false, misleading, or harmful information in mother circles or community spaces
  • Harass, bully, or intimidate other members
  • Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or otherwise extract our content or AI models
  • Use Janani for commercial purposes without written permission
  • Upload content that infringes the rights of others

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

7. Subscription and payments

Your first trimester of access is free, with no credit card required. After the free period, a subscription of ₹199/month is required to continue using premium features. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period with no further charges.

Refunds are available within 7 days of any charge if you have not meaningfully used the service in that period. Write to billing@myjanani.com.

8. Content ownership

Content you create on Janani (journal entries, community posts) belongs to you. You grant Janani a non-exclusive licence to display it within the platform. All Janani-created content (articles, guidance, AI responses, and design) belongs to Janani and may not be reproduced without permission.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by Indian law, Janani is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability in any calendar year shall not exceed the subscription fees you paid in that year.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes in-app at least 14 days before they take effect.
